Being human, a part of society, and manufacturer in the food service industry we fully accept and acknowledge our responsibility to contribute positively to the society we operate in. We support a transition towards a more sustainable future.
As a smaller regional company with limited market share, we know that our own direct impact is limited, but every contribution counts, and we are committed to do our part.
Our journey towards becoming a more sustainable business has just begun. We still have far to go and much to learn. However, through commitment, focus, and continuous improvements we are dedicated to make a difference.
- We have lowered our energy consumption with 55%.
- Today 82% of our electricity comes from renewable energy.
- Today 56% of our heat consumption is produced from solar power.
Energy optimization
At the Gram Professional factory, most of our energy comes from renewable energy sources.
Over the last few years, we have worked with various optimization projects to lower our energy consumption. Some of the projects have been to encapsulate installations, recycle waste heat, and replace heating systems.

So far, we have worked with:
- Minimizing CO2 emissions in our G+ products, using hydrocarbon refrigerants.
- Developing energy efficient products with low operational costs.
- Making products that last, where spare parts are available also in the future.
- Pushing environmentally friendly solutions.
- Re-using and recycling materials in our production.
- Reducing waste and sorting of waste.
- Choosing local suppliers that are actively working with sustainable solutions.
- Keeping transportation and travel to a minimum.
- Actively working with diversity and inclusion.
- Providing good working conditions for our employees where they can grow.
